The holidays can be very difficult after you go through major life changes. Once my dad passed away and I had to start sharing my kids on those special days with my ex, I lost my exuberance for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still go through the motions, but it will never be the same. It’s just one of those things that you can’t really explain unless you’ve gone through it.
